Our Chicago Loft

Loft

Claire and I bought the loft in June of 2002. It's located on the Northwest side of Chicago near the California stop on the blue line. The loft is a true timber 2000 sq. ft. loft with 18' ceilings. The building is an old brazier factory that was converted into about 30 units in 1995. It even has one of those old freight elevators with the door that you manually have to lift up and down. We live on the top floor and have 1 bedroom, 2nd bedroom/office, 2 bathrooms, and a huge great room that measures 33' x 35'. Claire and I can't say enough about how much we love living in this unique space. The only problem we have is buying furniture that is big enough for the space. If you are ever in town, stop by for an adult beverage. If the weather's nice, we can have it on the rooftop deck with the Chicago skyline as a backdrop.
